Always wanted to run with my dog but it was always a hassle. This leash was a game changer. Looking forward to more jogs with my dog from here on.

I have a very active, agile and athletic pup but he's not great on a leash. He pulls, jets around, etc. I've tried to run with him on a regular leash and it was a disaster. Ironically, when we're on the trails, he's great off leash and always stays near me, but when I've had to leash him on the trails, it's a disaster and I get tripped up. So I finally decided to look into a run leash and discovered Iron Doggy. I used the leash yesterday for the first time. We were on the trails and once my little guy started darting around for the lizards, it was time to leash him up. It worked so great! It was very comfortable, easy to run with, and even with the occasional pulling and jetting side to side, it never interrupted my stride or pace. When my pup wasn't on leash, it was easy to hook up on my side. Super happy with my Iron Doggy leash and highly recommend!

I have been running with my pointer for 4 years and tried many different bungy leads. By far, this is the best one I have had, and would recommend it to anyone. The only issue I find whilst running is, that the belt is rather narrow and not cushioned, so when dog pulls hard, it's slightly uncomfortable.

I bought this for running with my 3 dogs in the city and on country trails. The leads are heavy duty and strong enough to stop an elephant. So many great options to shorten the leads and easy to do on the run. I've even threaded the leads through each other to keep my dogs close to each other in busy areas. There are lots of great grab points on the leads. The belt is basic. It'd be great to have some neoprene on the belt for padding and to keep it steady on your waist when the dogs are indecisive on which direction to go. But that's nit picking. This is an awesome product and I can't recommend it highly enough!

Love the hands-free dog leash and belt!! I have a coonhound and have used this product daily for 7 years, 3 to 4 times a day along the creeks. It is heavy duty, and built for “me in mind” to run and hike my hound dog with ease.

I initially bought the Runner's Choice Hands-Free Leash but found it too long. I returned that leash, kept the belt that came with it, and bought the SideKick leash. Much better length for my dog. Very happy I made the switch.

Someone recommended the Runner's Choice Hands-Free Dog Leash because we have a Rhodesian Ridgeback, and no one wants to be pulled by a 100+ lb dog. After training with our pup on how to run with the bungee, this leash is the best running leash I've ever used. It's slightly heavier than other brands, but it shows how sturdy and well made the entire leash is. It allows him to move freely while still being at my side. The pouch add on (Solo-Pocket) is also 110% worth it. 10/10 recommend.

As a runner, this is a game changer for my husband running with our Pointer, especially with the extra control the bungee stretch gives him.

I run with two dogs and the two different lengths of leads help keep them apart. Great quality running leash system!

I've had a previous hands-free belt-leash for running which was pretty nice, but now ten years old. Just picked this up for the nice metal clasps, and was very impressed - the additional knot-grips, extra bungee sections and multiple attachment d-rings are fantastic. The latter made it very easy to get it set up for me and my dog so the leash was just the right length.

Although I can understand how this got dubbed the runner's leash, I don't run. But I do have a new puppy and am busy training her. I was looking for a handsfree leash and saw this one. Made in USA, Big plus, bungee shock absorber another plus, ability to change to different lengths, big plus. It's comfortable to wear, and my hands are free to reward my puppy for her amazing behavior! I definitely would recommend this leash.

Really great lead and belt. The belt stays put when I run, and the extra give in the lead is super helpful, both for times when I need to grab the handles to bring my dog closer in to pass other people, and for when she sees a squirrel just off track...

We have been using these leashes for years. We purchased both styles for our son and bought extras because we like them so much and have 3 dogs. The quality is excellent and it’s comfortable on the waist. Customer service is fantastic! Highly recommend!

Used a different running leash before where the bungee gave out after only a few months of running. This looks really well made and promises to hold up well to my dogs (35 and 60lb). The extra loops are great on technical terrain and when coming across others on the trail.

The hands-free leash has been a game changer for runs with my cattle dog. My form is so much better now that I'm not holding a standard leash in one hand, and the bungee provides a little extra comfort when he gets excited. The Sidekick 37" orange leash has been the perfect length for us. We have plenty of leash to run comfortably spaced on neighborhood sidewalks, and I can easily lean down to grab a handle and pull him close whenever I need. The hands-free leash has also been a great help with paddle boarding. I keep my dog safely leashed while we're launching and returning, then unhook him while we're underway; I love being able to carry equipment while keeping him close to me and away from distractions. Can't believe I used a standard leash for so long, we're converts for all of our outdoor activities now!

I ordered this to replace the leash that I believe I ordered over eight years ago. While the original is still usable, the clasp broke, and for convenience sake, I ordered a new one. For someone who runs/hikes at least five days a week with my GSD, this is an invaluable tool. I highly recommend Iron Doggy hands free leash for ease of use and durability.

Our new trainer turned us on to Iron Doggy and we have bought 2 of the leashes so far - dogs love them and much easier to walk them. Best leashes we have ever tried in 20 years of rescue dog walking

I have a 45 lb Terrier mix that I got from the shelter after he was returned 3 times. He is very high energy and I was getting hurt while walking him. This leash is a game changer. I absolutely love it and with a front loop harness we are seeing much improvement in our walks. Finally enjoyable.

My first Iron Doggy leash is likely 4-5 years old…I got it for running with my dog after 2-3 other bungee leashes failed. I now have a second running partner so I went for another…but was certain to purchase the REAL DEAL as opposed to similar looking knockoffs…I know the quality of Iron Doggy and want to support them!!

The belt is sturdy and comfortable. The pocket didn't look like it would fit my phone, but it stretches large enough! Solid product. I wish it came with a couple more stretch pockets (removable) to allow customization for those who'd like to store even more items. The one pocket will only hold my phone.

This leash is super sturdy and is tricked out with all the features I never knew I wanted until I had them. Got this leash to replace running with a standard 6ft lead with my dog and it's totally changed our runs. She has freedom to go in front of me or lag behind to smell whatever she finds for a few seconds and I don't feel like my arm is going to fall off. It's super comfortable for me to run with and I feel confident that she is secure. I only wish that the top metal loop was a different color or something so it was easier to tell which is which when I'm adjusting the length. Otherwise, I'm so glad I stumbled across this company in my search for better dog-running gear.
