I have bought these piece-by-piece and now have a Runner's Choice, SideKick, and an extra belt because I was tired of my kid adjusting the size on my belt.

I regularly run and walk with 2 medium sized dogs in an urban environment. The SideKick is a good length for that and the Runner's Choice gives me the option to keep them in that close or give one of them a little bit more space to run when we have more room.

Love the belt and the leash. High quality products that last! Well worth it.

Cannot overstate the importance of US made products these days. The quality shows, too.

The length is perfect - most people will be sharing the path/sidewalk/road with other people and cars and this helps keep your doggo from weaving or crossing too far out of your lane.

Hands down the best running leash I have ever had!

I was a little skeptical about how comfortable I'd be going hands-free while running with my pup. I quickly gained confidence when I let go of the leash and it wouldn’t fall around my feet and trip me up.

Plenty of grab points to pull her close if a car or another dog is coming up. The bungee actually relieves some of the jerkiness of a regular leash when she tugs or lunges to chase something.

I think it was more enjoyable for both of us. I hope they make a harness next!

I have a 150 lb. Great Dane that is a menace to society on leash walks. The IRON DOGGY waist leash has done wonders for teaching both my Great Dane and Chihuahua/terrier mix how to walk appropriately at my side rather than dragging me on a 6 ft lead. Thank you for producing this miracle product!!

The Runners Choice is excellent. We use this with a 50 kg German Shepherd that attacks other dogs without warning. If we use a regular lead my wife is either pulled over or has to let go. Other Hands-free leads don’t work well because they effortlessly fully extend. You can clip the Iron Doggy to 3 different lengths and there is just the right tension on the bungee to keep the dog under control and reduce the jerk when the dog makes a sudden charge.

My dog and I have been running together for over a year now, and her other leash with a metal clip had come off one too many times. I switched to this leash and am very happy I did! It's shorter than most leashes, which allows me to keep her close when running in urban spaces, but still gives us enough space so we're not tripping over one another. And the belt has a very secure clip, so I don't worry about it coming off. I was concerned about wearing out the bungee (my dog is a strong puller for the first few minutes of every run, she's so excited!), and the addition of the hand loops lets me keep her in line during that phase. I would highly recommend this leash to every human-dog running duo!

This is my second one. The first one lasted through two dogs, four marathons, and miles and miles of walks! Now I have a new puppy and ordered a new leash to celebrate!

Was gifted this leash for Christmas to start running with my 8 month old husky who likes to pull. Has enough stretch to minimize pulling on my waist. Also really like the easy to grab handles.

We have one for each of our pups and they love them. We had a little issue with one and had to make an exchange. The service was amazing. I can’t say enough good things about the leash and the company. Thank you all for a great product!

My daughter lives in Alaska and adopted a mala-mutt -120 lb malamute/husky/lab mix. He is a sweetheart but strong! They both enjoy outdoor adventures. We sent her the leash as a gift after reading the reviews. The leash is perfect. It does what a leash is supposed to do, and is sturdy enough to hold things together when the dog unexpectedly lunges (squirrel!, porcupine, another dog friend).

I did a lot of research before settling on this hands-free dog leash for my heavy pulling German Shepherd. She has responded well to using the leash and I love it. The belt is nice and long so I can wear it over my heavy parka in winter (I live in Canada) and the leash works well with our training regimen. Thanks Iron Doggy!

I’m a hard core runner and was running during puppy naps, so I could have my Own time and keep my pace, until days got busy and I had to take the puppy with me. Good thing I researched and found Iron Doggy! My pup is a cattle mix (of 6 mos) and the “SideKick” Harness is what I use with her. I love the fit, the freedom, and the security!

I mean from the fit of the running belt to the quality of the leash, the smoothness of how the SideKick functions, I freaking love your product. It’s made our runs so much more enjoyable because I’m an avid runner and it’s been hard with her biting or pulling at the leash prior to Iron Doggy.

Love the leash -- finally something that has enabled me to run with my dog regularly. Also very much appreciate the responsiveness of the company -- my pup broke the buckle on the belt three days after it arrived, and they had a replacement in the mail the next day!

Not a runner, just a casual walker but this leash gives me freedom and control! Purchased a second one for my daughters pup.

I was just looking for a hands free leash for walking, I tried a few others but they were awkward, bulky, and not as well built. This is sleek and adaptable. I love it. My dog doesn't constantly pull, but he's a 65 lbs lab mix and when he sees a rabbit he just about yanks my arm off with a regular leash. Now I feel more in control of his outbursts. I initially shied away based on the price, but I think its a worthwhile investment.

I ordered this leash before my Rhodesian Ridgeback was old enough to start running next to me, but now I've started training him in running with the leash. The build quality is really excellent and it is really easy to use. The small handles are perfect for extra control/communication, especially when teaching him how to run with the leash. Very nice service and communication from Iron Doggy (Andrew).

Greatest leash ever! My Dutch Shepherd not only runs with me, he's also a service dog. This leash does everything I need it to. The bungie's are perfect for the run (even service dogs get excited about squirrels) and the multiple hand grips are awesome when we're going into establishments. Wouldn't have any other leash.

I was unsure of a hands-free solution as my pup tends to get overly excited and pull, but after reading more reviews than I care to admit, I ordered the SideKick. What a game changer! I live and do most of my running in the urban core, so I went with the shorter option for control around cars and other dogs. He is calmer running, pulls less and my form is better because one shoulder isn't being pulled forward. I can't imagine running with a leash in my hands again and am looking forward to investing in the longer leash as well. Some reviews did say that the hardware is heavy, but I don't notice it and I'm happy to have the sturdier hardware-for piece of mind.

So I took up Crossfit a couple years ago at 50 years old. One of the cardio components is running, so I decided to try running with our two younger dogs and walking with the 11+ year old pair. These are all dogs that usually strain on their leashes and zigzag all over following scents. They typically want to chase anything that moves away quickly. I wasn't too sure how this would work out. On Day 1 they all took to it, got in the lead & ran for various distances. Three out of the four ran. The really old rescue, grandma Sady, walked about 200 m which was great because she's at the age where she is starting to have trouble getting up. Maybe it was because of the built in suspension or maybe because we ran instead of walking, but they all immediately acted like lead sled dogs. For now, I take one at a time, but my goal is to run two & walk two. My wife laughed when I said I wanted to run with the elkhounds. They loved it & I loved the waist harness so I could fiddle with the GPS on my Fitbit. It was a completely different experience than when we walk them on a regular leash. Loved everything about it. Elkhounds, pound per pound, are some of the strongest pullers & they can break cheap buckles etc. This is well made & strong. No fear of one of them breaking free. One other benefit is my dogs typically bark when they see another dog out of excitement & possibly sometimes when they sense our anxiety through the leash. On 3 of the four first runs/walks, we saw dogs, and although they noticed them, they didn't bark! That was a first! One guy didn't have his dog on a leash & his dog ran up to our youngest elkhound. I expected trouble but zero reaction. Nose sniffs, apology from the other guy for not having his dog leashed or wearing a mask. Lastly, there was a mix up with my initial order and I only received 1 of the two sets. The owner quickly sent me the missing set after I sent him a photo of what I received. So, excellent customer service on top of everything else. Don't hesitate to buy!
